Franchise operations

The Marketplace Engine lets a master licensee run independent restaurants and franchise territories on the same marketplace. Acrontec still owns the software. The franchisee operates one territory under the marketplace brand.

Two ways a restaurant joins

Merchant agreement

An independent restaurant joins the marketplace directly. It keeps its own vendor portal, staff, and commission or subscription plan.

Franchise territory

A franchisee holds one licence area. Restaurants on that licence sit inside the territory and the assigned delivery zone.

What a territory includes

Franchisee panel

Franchisees sign in to their own panel. They see their territory, add restaurants inside the cap and zone, and run day-to-day restaurant tools. Master Admin still owns marketplace-wide settings, disbursements, and the royalty ledger.

Royalty statements

Royalty is a charge on the franchisee, calculated as a percentage of food amount on completed orders. It is recorded per order, then grouped into a weekly or monthly statement. Paying the statement is recorded when the marketplace marks it paid. It does not reduce the restaurant’s commission or the marketplace operator’s commission wallet.

Acrontec’s software lease is a separate agreement with the marketplace operator. Franchise royalty is the operator’s own charge to its franchisees.

See how licensing is structured

The master lease stays with the marketplace operator. Franchisees use the hosted platform under that lease.
